Shadows of the Heart |
|
|
|
From time to time
the shadows of the heart
fly over
the prolix conscience of the tree;
they shake his multitude,
and the root
becomes tenuous,
fragile,
transitory.
From time to time
the shadows of the heart
tear down man's pedestal;
and nothing remains,
and nothing is permanent under the rain:
only the shadows of the heart
pass through like an infinite curve,
and nothing stays:
only shadows of the heart. |
